Marine Dynamics enjoys sightings of great whites, copper sharks (bronze whalers) and even the occasional stingray at our vessel. Unlike bungy jumping or sky diving, the adrenaline rush from shark cage diving comes from being face to face with one of the world’s greatest predators: the Great White Shark.
The experience puts you in their territory while the safety of the activity allows you to be an observer and learn what Great White Sharks are really like. An on board marine biologist will educate you about this amazing apex predator.
Shark Cage Diving is safe for children and elders and gives the whole family a wonderful opportunity to bond in a fun environment surrounded by experts and researchers.
After this once in a life time experience, you’ll find yourself buzzing with excitement and adrenaline. You will have had the opportunity to come up close and personal with one of the oceans most majestic and foreboding creatures.
Here is a brief breakdown of what to expect once you arrive:
• Before the trip guests meet at THE GREAT WHITE HOUSE in Kleinbaai
• You will receive breakfast or lunch and register your wetsuit size
• Guests receive a pre-trip safety briefing about what to expect during the trip and a biological background on great white sharks
• We then take a 200m stroll down to the harbour to board Slashfin
• Travel time to Dyer Island is approximately 20 minutes, with the shallows being a short 10 minute ride (where we anchor depends on where the sharks are)
• On average, we anchor for 2 hours, but this depends on shark activity, conditions, as well as number of divers
• Weather permitting, we take a quick trip through the infamous Shark Alley
• Lastly, a debrief in the Great White House and a celebratory beverage to toast the occasion!

• Our crew receives as many compliments as the Great White Sharks, with more combined experience than any other Shark Cage Diving crew.
• You will leave with great memories and a deep appreciation of this majestic animal.
A Shark Cage Dive / Viewing guided by a marine biologist, a light meal (breakfast or lunch depending on time of trip), refreshments on board and soup and bread on return is included.
Equipment such as wet suits, booties, masks, towel are provided. Life jackets and waterproof jacket is alo supplied.
A video link of your experience is not included in the price but can be purchased in addition to the dive / viewing excursion. Cost R200.
This is uploaded 24-48 hours after trip and once downloaded can be used across social platforms and saved for your memories.

What an experience! This has been top of my bucket list for as long as I can remember and it certainly didn't disappoint! We managed to see some bronzed whaler sharks, penguins and seals. The trip was very well organised from start to finish. We had plenty of time in the cage but sightings from the boat were just as good! Amy & the team were incredible, very professional & knowledgeable! My girlfriend was apprehensive leading upto the trip but she was put at ease immediately and had an incredible time too. We were very happy with our choice of marine dynamics, other companies had sketchy reviews and appeared less professional online, marine dynamics certainly lived up to the expectations. We are a family of 4, with boys 12 and 15. When our 15 year old requested we do the shark cage during our visit to South Africa we were rather worried and hesitant! However we booked it and on the day we all did it and loved it - even our 12 year old who was adamant he wasn't even going on the boat! Everything we could need was provided and it was well organised. We all felt safe and looked after. We got to see quite a few Bronze Whaler sharks up close from the boat and the cage, a friendly seal and penguins. The staff were friendly and knowledgable and told us lots about the sharks, wildlife and the surrounding area. All that made it worth the early morning and long drive from Cape Town! - Sarah
