Shark Cage Diving with RETURN Transfer from Cape Town

Activity Description

All trips are weather and tide dependant and launch times may vary accordingly from those stated. Your launch time will be confirmed the day before.

Unlike bungee jumping or sky diving, the adrenaline rush from shark cage diving comes from being face to face with one of the world’s greatest predators: the Great White Shark.

The experience puts you in their territory while the safety of the activity allows you to be an observer and learn what Great White Sharks are really like. An on board marine biologist will educate you about this amazing apex predator.

Shark Cage Diving is safe for children and elders and gives the whole family a wonderful opportunity to bond in a fun environment surrounded by experts and researchers.

After this once in a life time experience, you’ll find yourself buzzing with excitement and adrenaline. You will have had the opportunity to come up close and personal with one of the oceans most majestic and foreboding creatures.

Here is a brief breakdown of what to expect once you arrive:
• Before the trip guests meet at THE GREAT WHITE HOUSE in Kleinbaai
• You will receive breakfast or lunch and register your wetsuit size
• Guests receive a pre-trip safety briefing about what to expect during the trip and a biological background on great white sharks
• We then take a 200m stroll down to the harbour to board Slashfin
• Travel time to Dyer Island is approximately 20 minutes, with the shallows being a short 10 minute ride (where we anchor depends on where the sharks are)
• On average, we anchor for 2 hours, but this depends on shark activity, conditions, as well as number of divers
• Weather permitting, we take a quick trip through the infamous Shark Alley
• Lastly, a debrief in the Great White House and a celebratory beverage to toast the occasion!

Why We Are Different:
• A dedicated marine biologist on board every trip
• Our Boat (Slashfin) is the largest in the industry (most deck space per customer) and was purposely built for shark cage diving and includes two restrooms, and an upper deck for the ultimate viewing and photography experience when not in the cage.
• A fully licensed Restaurant and Crew House, aptly named the GREAT WHITE HOUSE, which includes facilities such as: 2 marine rooms where professional safety and informative briefings are given before each trip + separate ladies/gents/handicap restroom facilities with a 5-star rating + curio shop
• We guarantee clean, dry wetsuits (a rarity in the industry)
• Our crew receives as many compliments as the Great White Sharks, with more combined experience than any other Shark Cage Diving crew.
• You will leave with great memories and a deep appreciation of this majestic animal.

Customer Reviews

The staff was amazing. Very informative and talked you through everything. They made sure you knew everything that was going on with on and off the boat and while you were in or out of the water. Very attentive to the passengers who got motion sickness. One girl from our group couldn’t make it last minute and they were very nice and diligent on giving her a full refund. Would definitely use them again and so stoked we saw so much activity - Brittany Barden

The transfer was excellent with the driver going out of his way to be helpful, on the return trip he did a diversion to go whale watching and we had some excellent sightings which topped the day off. The shark trip was very good but I spent a lot of the time with my nose in a bag. The one thing I would suggest is that people change into wetsuits before boarding, I was given a large one which I said before departure was too small, I then tried a XL, too small, and finished with XXL. During all the hassle of getting in and out of the wetsuits was when I started to feel sick. All in all we had a great time and would recommend it. - John Grayson

Without a doubt, the most important fact here is those guys conduct in a extremely professional manner and are quite dedicated. We had a white shark cage trip reservation at the beginning of our trip and were cancelled due to bad weather. Far of annoying us, gave us a clear view that in this company safety matters. So we were relocated two days later and were transferred from Cape town to Kleinsbaai. A safety briefing is held before departing with some food available. Dry wetsuits, masks and clean towels during and after the cage inmersion are provided and there is always a biologist on the boat. We succeeded to watch a white shark, some other sharks and a big stingray. A couple of whales in the background as a tip. Very serious staff ... no sense of fear once inside the cage because the permanent care taken by the crew. Strongly recommended - Jacinto Villalvilla

Brilliant day out, I will highly be recommending and be returning for another trip next year. Thank you to all the staff for making the so brilliant. - Hollie Willis

I absolutely loved my experience with Marine Dynamics and the ride to and from my hotel. It was a highlight of my trip to Africa! Even though we did not see any Great Whites because of the Orca, I had a lot of fun seeing Copper Sharks and a Sting Ray. Our onboard biologist, Kelly, was very friendly and knowledgeable; the entire staff was very friendly. If I return to Cape Town, I would not hesitate to book again through Marine Dynamics. - Cait Curran
